The challenges of public engagement in decision-making processes in water management must guarantee that groups that are normally invisible gain voice and power in participatory and decision-making processes. Vulnerable communities, refugees, indigenous groups and other groups are frequently neglected in participatory approaches and discussions. The session will explore new participatory visions, noting the importance of including these groups for promoting a water management approach that connects sustainability and social justice.
