USA WOP-LAC is the Regional Platform of the Global Water Operators' Partnership (GWOPA) for Latin America and the Caribbean, is a non-profit organization that understands the needs and strengths of its members and is recognized as a strategic partner for the improvement of the water and sanitation sector in LAC. WOP-LAC aims to strengthen water operators, through technical cooperation between them. The purpose is to achieve levels of greater effectiveness and efficiency in the provision of water services.
In this event, WOP-LAC will showcase 3 success stories and best practices of capacity development of water and sanitation utilities in the LAC region through Water Operators' Partnerships (WOPs): San Francisco Public Utilities Commission - CEDAE (Drought management strategies), San Francisco Public Utilities Commission - SABESP (Drought management and water supply planning) and FESAN - ADECOR (Strengthening capacities for providing water service in rural communities).
